Situated in an elegant period townhouse on Whitby’s West Cliff, our hotel was once a favourite of Lewis Carroll and boasts one of the finest views in the country… Facing us across the picturesque harbour are the ruins of Whitby Abbey, inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
Each of our unique rooms have been lovingly designed using Whitby’s rich heritage as inspiration. Furnished with thrift shop finds and carefully sourced antique kitsch, fun and opulence are high on the agenda throughout

Our venue serves homemade cakes and drinks and is available for private hire, as is the whole hotel – a perfect destination for family get togethers and celebrations.
You won’t find TVs or telephones in our rooms… La Rosa Whitby is a place to unwind and get away from it all. However, we do have a great selection of books and vintage records available in our Cocktail Library for when the mist rolls in, as well as free wifi throughout the hotel.
